FAQ's
Q: How does the Punchmate hit you back?
A: The secret to Punchmate’s realistic fighting movements is in the petended coil spring. When you punch the target, the spring causes the defense glove and pad to spring right back at you just as a live opponent would. Unless you dodge or weave out of the way, the glove will hit you back.
Q: Will it hurt if the Punchmate hits me?
A: No. The Punchmate was designed with a spring loaded fist, creating a softer blow than an actual punch.
Q: Do I need to be a heavy hitter to make the Punchmate move?
A: No. The Punchmate was engineered with precise balance and coil spring action so the slightest punch will trigger Punchmate’s sparring action.
Q: Can I practice my "Power Punching" on the Punchmate?
A: No. The Punchmate was not designed for power punches since heavy bags already serve this purpose. The Punchmate is a unique training tool, designed for mastering fast, swift combinations thrown with skill and grace.
Q: Can I kick the Punchmate?
A: No. The Punchmate strengthens your punches and body coordination (footwork, dodging, etc.). However, the slim design of the Punchmate makes it easy to customize your workout. Some customers chose to set up a bag next to the unit to kick while taking advantage of the skills learned from the Punchmate. (Kicking the Punchmate voids the warranty.)
Q: Is any assembly required?
A: We provide simple instructions which make the Punchmate quick and easy to assemble.
Q: Does the Punchmate need to be mounted?
A: Yes, the Punchmate base must be securely mounted.
Q: Where can I mount the Punchmate?
A: You can mount the Punchmate on any concrete or wood floor, or you can mount to the platform created just for the Punchmate, which guarantees stability and offers plenty of room to move.
